2015 National Safety Stand-Down Materials Available

OSHA and its industry partners hope to reach workers and employers from many industries during the 2015 National Safety Stand-Down to prevent falls.

New Reporting Requirements: Employers Required to Report Fatalities and Severe Injuries and Illnesses

As of Jan. 1, 2015, employers covered by federal OSHA are now required to report work-related fatalities within 8 hours and work-related in-patient hospitalizations, amputations and losses of an eye within 24 hours of finding out about the incident.

OSHA to Hold Symposium on Protecting Healthcare Workers from Ebola

Representatives from OSHA, municipal service agencies and emergency responders will present information on protecting hospital workers and first responders from exposure to the Ebola virus at a free symposium on March 12 in Arlington, Texas.
