With the Fourth of July weekend within reach, Americans are gearing up for beach vacations, backyard barbecues, patriotic parades and vibrant firework displays. As anticipation and excitement builds, it is important to take precautionary measures to prepare for a safe holiday. The tips below will help you safely enjoy for this weekend's festivities.

  • Be Aware of your Surroundings – While there has been no specific or credible information that terrorists intend to strike over the upcoming holiday weekend, The Department of Homeland Security urges Americans to remain vigilant.
